  • What is Wong Ken’s Covid-19 protocol?
    We require appointments for consultations and custom work. Please email us at: to set up a day and time that works best for you and we will try and accommodate that. We ask that all customers entering our premises do your part to keep us all safe by following the Covid-19 guidelines: • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer as often as possible. • Practice social distancing of 6 feet • If you are feeling at all unwell, please stay home.
  • Can I return a ring for sizing if it doesn’t fit?
    Yes, we can resize most rings, but there are special cases where certain pieces can only be sized within certain parameters. Please make sure to read the notes on each piece.
  • Is there an additional charge for resizing?
    Yes, there is an additional charge to resize. Each ring is assessed on a one by one basis as each piece is unique.
  • Is there any kind of guarantee with my jewellery purchase? For example: if a stone falls out within a certain time from the purchase date will it be replaced at no charge?
    We will guarantee it for 3 months after purchase, if it is a manufacturing default. We can not guarantee on mishandling and abuse of pieces.
  • Are all sales final?
    If the piece is discounted, it is a final sale. It can not be returned or exchanged, so please purchase carefully.
  • Do I receive an appraisal with my purchase?
    We will supply an appraisal if the piece is purchased at regular price and is valued at over $3000.00. If you would like an appraisal on a piece valued at a lower price, there will be an extra charge. We do not offer an appraisal for any sale items.
  • Do you have a layaway plan for purchases?
    Not for online purchases. Only for in-store regular priced merchandise purchases and then we require a 1/3 deposit and the piece must be paid for in full within 3 months. We do not do layaway for any sale items.
  • Can I call your store directly if I have any questions about a piece I’m interested in?
    Certainly, please email us as it is the best option and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
  • Is your company a member of the Better Business Bureau?
    Yes, we have been a BBB Member for over 25 years and we are also memebers of the Canadian Jewellers Association.
  • Is your jewellery stamped with a hallmark?
    Yes, all pieces have a hallmark as well as a gold karat stamp
  • How do I clean and look after my jewellery?
    Store all pieces in separate bags or boxes so stones don't touch and scratch each other. You should take them into a professional jeweller to have rings checked every year for wear and if repairs need to be done.
  • After my purchase can I bring it in annually for cleaning and a check to make sure stones are secure?
    Yes, you can bring it in annually for a check and assessment on repairs, if necessary.
  • Do you offer repair services?
    No, we no longer offer repair services. We are only doing custom design work. Please contact us by email us at: if you would like to design your forever piece.
  • How long have you been in business?
    We have been in business in Calgary since 1976. Our store was started in Kingston Jamaica in 1955 by our father.
  • Will you engrave the inside of a ring and is there a charge?
    We do not charge if the ring was purchased from us.
  • Do you offer complimentary gift wrapping if requested?
    Yes, we do offer complimentary gift wrapping.
